The other day I ran sprints. I normally run 10x100 on a Monday but sometimes I get a wild hair and will do something in excess. Like 20x100; barefooted.

It was a nice day and I've done a lot more stupid things in my past than this.

Anyway, after I finished and about two hours later I noticed extreme pain running along the lateral side of my foot.

This wasn't a normal plantar fascitis type of pain, but more like a GD stress fracture type of pain. Standing on it hurt, movement hurt, heck burping out loud hurt it.

I now have a choice to make. Either stay off of it or go about my business and do what I set out to do regardless of the pain.

I choose the latter. I have a fairly high pain tolerance that has led me to do quite a few stupid things in my life so why not?

I ride my bike with the pain and while doing some new-found breathing techniques (to be discussed later) the pain disappears! WHAT? If I ignore the discomfort for a little bit it goes away long-term? C'mon, REALLY?

I get to the gym and I figure I can do all the accessory work for today's squat (I'm a day ahead of what I normally post) which will keep the weight off my foot and thus, make it feel better.

Well, like I said, "I've done a lot more stupid things", so when I reach the weight-bearing exercises, I "go for it".

Lo and behold...??? After I finished the squats, there was no longer any pain whatsoever.

I figure that the SQUAT is good for ANYTHING that is ailing you.

Having a good day? Squat

Having a bad day? Squat

Just lost your job? Squat

Just found Jesus? Squat

Broke your foot? Squat

Pulled a vasti muscle? Squat

Yep...Squatting will fix just about anything.

Go get your squat belt on and meet me at the monolift...
