The second installment of this series involves the bench press. Let me preface this video by saying that "flaring" in the bench can cause all kinds of confusion and misinterpretations. So before panties get bunched, let's do a quick overview. The natural path of the bar in the bench should be slightly back. This keeps the bar in the path of the best leverage. It allows us to use all our prime movers to their advantage while also staying stable and minimizing joint stress. This will vary greatly between shirted and raw benchers.
