I'm not a vacation type of guy but over the years my wife has become more and more helpful in choosing spots where I won't mind being for extended periods of time. The last three years we have made the long 30 minute journey to a town far away called Paphos (also misspelled Pafos) and we park our car at the Teacher's Union Apartments and spend about $25 per night to stay in a full apartment with a pool for 6 days and 5 nights. I freaking love it! There were 6 of us staying in our room and we knew A LOT of people staying there that week (everyone there is a teacher, we have probably met at some point) and tons of kids to keep our kids busy! I loaded the car with the essentials...a guitar amplifier and cheap beer...and then added the family and all of their stuff.

I normally try to do too much before I go and as soon as I get back I start thinking about what I need to do my first session. 1) I'm under trained and under fed because I just took 6-7 days off 2) I need to stick to my training plan (in this case, a pressing day) 3) I feel guilty for missing squats, good morning, deadlifts, etc... So I end up doing it freaking ALL, all in one session!
