I have been training strongman events out of a storage unit since summer of 2010 when I started grad school. Since then I have been in four different storage units in three different locations. This video is a brief tour of the current storage unit where I train. It is not all inclusive of all of my equipment because some is in my garage gym and a little is at Iron Strong CrossFit, but this is what gets the job done for most of my event days.

Here is a more complete equipment list for those wondering what they might need in order to have enough options to train for anything that strongman throws their way: -cones -loading pins -distance measuring wheel -sledge hammer -atlas stones (200, 240, 280, 300, 330, 360) -stone platform -lots of specialty bar collars -sandbag and six 50 lb bags to adjust the weight of the big bag -kegs (150, 185, 230) -50 ft of 1.5" rope -100 ft of 2" rope -circus DB -elitefts prowler (circa 2007 with a few modifications over the years) -wagon wheels for 13" deadlift -shot puts (16, 20) -rocks/throwing stones (12, 16, 20, 24) -highland games weights (28, 56) -standards for weight over bar -highland games trunk with various throwing paraphernalia -chains -plyo boxes -a crap load of roughly 2'x2' stall mats -tire (for landing atlas stones on) -elitefts dragging sled -rack ropes -weight tree full of extra change plates (a lot of 10s, 5s, 2.5s mostly only needed for doing medleys) -horizontal plates racks -bumper plates (4x45) -hundos (4x100) -farmer's handles -chain yoke -3" axle -highland games hammers (16, 22) -trig board -sheaf fork -main weight tree (8x45, 4x25, 6x10, 6x5) -yoke with 2 cross bars, one for carrying and one for stone loading

I'll bring out my log or 2" axle as needed, but since I use those frequently during my normal gym training they stay at my house rather than in the Unit.

There are only a couple things I don't have that I need (a big tire and a car deadlift frame), but I don't have room for them in the unit so until I have the option of more storage space, I can always improvise an analog or go to Brute, Colosseum, Iron Strong CF, etc if I really need them.
