I am currently training for The CPU National Championships. This will be my first time competing in the open category. I hope to set new National records and qualify for worlds
Yesterday seemed to be the perfect amount of caffeine, ammonia caps, and good mental space for a great day of deadlifts. I usually hate training anything over 3 reps, but I ended up pulling a rep PR with 275, and felt like I had 10 more in the tank. I often let myself create an enemy out of deadlifts. In the past, I have had trouble pulling the numbers I want in a meet. I let it defeat me. Truth is, I actually enjoy training deadlifts more than any other lift. I need to get it out of my head that I 'suck' at deadlifts. I've made some huge progress in the past few months that has given me my deadlift confidence back.
Deadlifts 135x5 185x3 225x2 255x1 275x5
Rack pulls 275x2 315x3 345x3
Rack pulls also felt really easy
