Steve gave me a Metal canvas squat suit a long time ago and I never wore it once. I was going to use my trusty Metal Ace squatter last meet and then try out the canvas. Since my injury I haven't felt like trying it until today. Here is how it went...

squats - Wore Metal Canvas Squat Suit - The suit was worn without briefs under and with the straps down.

worked up raw to 315 for a triple

put on suit

worked up doing singles to 830

reverse hypers

4 plates per side for 3 sets of 15 reps

back attack

2 plates for 4 sets of 12 reps

My first impression of the Metal Canvas Squatter is that it is awesome! It has a different and smaller groove than the poly suits I've worn but it is really solid. The suit wanted to pitch me around a bit with the lighter weight but once I figured out that I needed to squat more straight down than back I was better able to keep my hips on the bubble. As for the weight it moved very well and I'm pleased with it.
