Today was a pretty huge day for me mentally. I think I have maybe squatted 1000lbs in training 3-4 times ever. I just avoid it in training to both save my wad for the meet but also because I am a little afraid of it too. Its my "oh shit weight". My squat was feeling very strong lately so I have pushing the limits to see what I could accomplish mentally. I am not in the middle of training for a full meet so my squat is in no way ramped up for a meet. I decided to try a grand today and I hit it! Not prepped or trained up or anything. Just any day walk in and hit it. For myself to be able to do that both physically and mentally was a huge victory for me. This means I will venture into heavier weights I have never tried before in the future.

Afterwards I spent about 30-40 minutes on stretching because I knew a grand would jack my back up.
