Things I've been thinking about lately:

  • How to strike the right balance between being a "Powerlifter" which entails a very specific skill set, catering to the requirements of Powerlifting as a sport, and [in theory] doing everything you can to be the best in your sport with being an athlete/ maintaining certain levels of athleticism that are important [to me at least] for anybody who calls themselves an athlete.
  • Balancing "having fun" with taking the sport and pursuit of greatness seriously (although the more I've thought about it, the more I think that these two things aren't mutually exclusive-- but as with most things a balancing act)
  • Where does Powerlifting fit in the grand scheme of things/my life. Is it meant to be kept separate-- living a double life if you will (Law Student/soon to be Lawyer by day, Powerlifter by night) or should I be trying to find a way to integrate two things I'm passionate about?
