Monday was a shirt day, kind of a tester to see if I should bother with this meet on the 6th. The idea was to take 700 to a 1 board, but as usual, being a bit of a head-case got the better of me.

Warmed up raw to 315, then went up like so:

405 - 3 board

495 - 2 board

585 - 1 board

650 - 1 board

At 700, I decided , for reasons which escape me now, to say f*ck it and touch the 700.

Tried it twice and missed both, just a hair away from lockout.

While I was disappointed, I did learn a couple of things. First, I was opening my elbows up to early, and was too flared out at the top. Second, I was not wearing the shirt quite right. I adjusted between the first and second attempts and the second was closer.

Despite the misses, I am still going to compete. I know what I need to fix, and I plan on coming in around 10lbs heavier than I did at the last meet. My shirt has been feeling a touch loose lately, so this should tighten her up.

Never a dull moment
