*1.5 Weeks Out from Lexen Xtreme Fall Classic*

Last Thursday was my last max effort bench session before the meet next weekend. The goal was to just work up to my opener in my bench shirt, and I did that, but it was definitely slower and felt worse than it should have. Some of that was probably the fact that I had to run and bench between sessions of a conference we were hosting at my work, since my help for bench (Erik) was leaving to get married. Congrats to him and thanks as always for the big help.

Looking back at my training logs from previous meets, I'm pretty much burnt out at this same time every meet cycle from stress and lack of sleep but after the week of rest things go much better at the meet. I'd rather do well at the meet and feel crappy in training than the other way around, so time to just rest and wait till meet day.

Notes for Improvement: Keep heels pressed down, open up elbows evenly during press.
