I’m currently in meet prep for the 2015 IPA Grand Prix Nationals at the Greater Columbus Convention Center on October 24th, in Columbus, Ohio. I will be competing at 132 pounds, raw with knee wraps.
For programming and coaching inquires, please email SmitleyPerformanceSystems@gmail.comTuesday I was back to some speed squats and pulls. Running through the cycle like I normally do, but things were feeling rather good for the day. Technique looked much better, speed looked better, and overall I think I'm putting together a good string of sessions. That's a bit thing when it comes to getting ready for a meet is trying to keep the momentum rolling forward. Sure, there are going to be days where things don't feel optimal, but if you can keep the ball rolling and push through to keep things progressing (intelligently!), it's sure to accumulate. While it's still early, I haven't felt much better at this point in going into a meet. By no means does that guarantee anything, BUT at least I'm setting myself up for the possibility of good things to come...and that's half the battle.
