Today was my first post surgery follow up appointment. The cast was removed and to my surprise I had 23 staples in my elbow. The incision had to be longer than expected because of the tendon splitting lengthwise. My range of motion was better than expected today and I've been put into a movable brace. My range of motion has been set from full extension up to 90 degrees. I've been told nothing heavier than a cup of coffee in my left hand and that I'm not to return to work until I get the staples out. My next follow up appointment is scheduled for 09.21.2017 and I should get the staples out then.
