Nationals was Saturday. Holy hell what a meet. The amount of talent and strength in the USAPL right now is insane. Each class was 50 plus for the open and stacked. My class was amazing. Juniors squatting 7 and 51 year olds harrying damn near mid 7. Some unknowns showed up and walked into 2nd. Just crazy. I found myself meet morning at 262. I was floored. I actually stuck with the plan and made weight without any cutting techniques. This was hard as I had to run a fairly tight diet the last month. I carb cycle but most of my days were low and my reefer days were mid days. It worked well and I didn't feel small. I ended up having a "ok" day. I made my seconds on all lifts but missed my thirds. The thirds weren't PRs but were estimates on what I thought was doable at this body weight. I thought wrong lol. I didn't make the podium but the meet wasn't a wash either. I need to continue to tighten up my body. My goal is to live in the 250s to be more competitive in the class. I need to be leaner and be able to eat to fuel a big meet. Right now I'm just loosing weight and muscle to make weight. I like being on the podium and that didn't happen. I'm very pissed about my placing and motivated to get back up where I want to be.

Here's videos of my second attempts. I missed 650,501, and 690 on thirds. My USAPL PRs are 666, 502, and 710 at 275. As you can see I need to recomp myself for strength in the 264 class. Congrats to Dennis Cornelius for dominating a strong class. He is the real deal.

In my smaller size I realize I need to change a few things. My squat stance needs to come in. Being 280 a wide squat is very beneficial. At 260 I just out there with out support. I will work on that immidiately. My bench groove also needs to change. When I am 280 touching low on my gut makes my stroke shorter. At 260 a low touch makes me it of position as my gut is t as high. Pa higher touch spot will take a while to adjust to but I think it's neccesary for prs. My deadlift is what it is lol.
