My plan for the weekend was to work the new pair of Metal Ace briefs I got some more and to focus on my triceps and shoulders....

Saturday

box squat - straight bar - straight weight - box set at parallel - wore Metal Ace briefs

worked up to 700 for 4 singles in new briefs

500 for a double

put on old Metal Ace briefs

500 for a single

reverse hypers

6 plates total for 4 sets of 8 controlled reps - weight was not swung more than 90 degrees

Dimel deads with dumbbells

worked up to 150's for 3 sets of 5 reps

I was off today. My squat didn't feel right and the weight did not move at the pace it should. I'm changing my warm-up pace with the thought that it will save energy for my opening squat. So far it seems to be a negative idea....more to come as I work through that.

Sunday

push press - boxes set at the side of the bench to pause my elbows on

worked up to 315 for 5 sets of 2 reps

dumbbell bench

70's for 10 reps

90's for 10 reps

115's for 10 reps

chin - ups

bodyweight for 2 sets of 5 reps

bodyweight plus 1 chain for accumulating resistance for 3 reps

bodyweight plus 2 chains for accumulating resistance for 2 sets of 5 reps

standing military press with angle bar

worked up to 2 plates per side for 3 sets of 5 reps

I attempted 2 plates and a quarter per side but couldn't lock them out so that was a failed set

battling ropes

1 superset

Upper work felt off today too. Just not a good weekend. I need more sleep and calories....
