Trying to avoid getting beat up and I really want to avoid injuries from chasing numbers. I know that I have a couple of maxes on Snatch and Clean and Jerk. Max: what I can do if I have to Training Max: what I can do every week Technical Max: what I can do with decent technique Safe Max: what I can do without putting pain through my joints So, I'm basing my snatch off of my Technical Max and my Clean and Jerk off of my Safe Max for a while. Or at least I will try. Snatch 75 kg x 1 x 5 sets, very little rest between 80 x 1 85 x 1 90 x 1 95 x 1 ...95 is still sketchy but improving Clean and Jerk 75 x 1 x 5 sets, some were horrible as I'm too tight on the clean 85 x 1 95 x 1 Viking Front Squats 125/275 x 2 x 5 sets, last set paused Weightlifting Squats (focused on posture and perfection here) 125 x 2 x 5 sets, last set paused 165 KG x 2, still snappy As long as I can keep things rolling like this...I can make technical corrections and if the opportunity pops up to compete in Weightlifting I can make the change over for a few weeks to push a little more.
