I’m currently in off season mode working on bringing up certain qualities and weaknesses I noticed from the IPA Grand Prix Nationals. This training will be laying the ground for my training cycle into the 2016 XPC Finals.

Monday night was a super quick little session. Nothing was too exciting except for the fact that I hit a PR on my grip work...by a long shot. I'm still trying to figure out how certain exercises have carryover to my actual grip strength towards a barbell in my hands, but I'm thinking that such a large jump lately has to be a good sign. I guess I'll know more when I go back to my double overhand pin pulls in a few weeks, but man it felt good to really move some weight for that. My hands were just smoked after that main exercise, so I just called it a day. I figured any other work that point would just be a waste.

Items Used in this Training Session Mini Band

A1) Bench Press vs Doubled Mini Bands 3x20 - slow and controlled tempo. These sucked only using the bar.

B1) Band Lat Pullovers 5x20

C1) DB Skull Crushers 5x20

D1) Chaos Shrugs 5x20 with 2 sec holds at the top

E1) Plate Pinch Deadlift Worked up to 130x3 - HUGE PR 122.5 x 6 110 x Max Time

*I had planned to do some Captain Crush work but my hands were smoked so I called it a day
