As always, losing weight seems to throw a wrench into squatting the quickest. ALONG with the fact that squatting in sleeves is exponentially harder than squatting in wraps, and if you don't think so, you don't know how to squat in wraps. Had a good crew of some of my friends and clients in the gym today and saw some definite improvement from all of them. Luke pause squatted an all time PR regardless of variable. Tyler continues to learn how to deadlift. Keaton is learning how to actually lockout a deadlift, and Skyler got some great squatting and benching in. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bfl_pFpDtex/?taken-by=tyjacksonfitness https://www.instagram.com/p/Bfl5Afzng5G/?taken-by=melikeysquats https://www.instagram.com/p/Bfl_AQElkFL/?taken-by=wineman3 https://www.instagram.com/p/Bfloh2NllI6/?taken-by=skyler_sloan

I also had a great, albeit by comparison, mediocre day. Squats are just HARD when I'm this light. THe weight feels light on my back, but actually relying on my legs out of the hole and not a big rebound from my trunk makes it damn difficult to make it work. Heavy single today at a .19 velocity, so near maximal.

HOWEVER, deadlifts are fucking coming along like no other and hook is substantially better than any grip I've ever experienced. I had to have hit one of the heaviest sets of beltless RDLs done ever today, but was still definitely upped by Chris Duffin I'm sure. I'm well on my way to outpulling my deadlift and actually being a real raw powerlifter for once. Although 880 and 880 sounds pretty fucking cool once we head back to 220 and 242 down the road. Like a real man.
