Saturday Sumo Deads

Lones (see @callousedhandspower) is prepping for the Arnold and has been traveling from State College to Union Fitness every Saturday. So, we decided that a deadlift was best for us both since I can't squat and he wanted to pull an opener. (More on the not squatting later)

I've been working on hook grip and after a great session last week, this week shit the bed. I couldn't budge 550ish after pulling 600 last week. So I went back to mixed grip and pulled an ugly 705 for two singles. It gave me a good starting point, and even though it was shit, I walked away with some confidence. I haven't pulled that in a long while.

In all honesty, I don't even remember what assistance I did. Some leg press, belt squat, hamstring work.

On Sunday, we went to JL's RPR clinic in Columbus and...mind blown. More on that later.
