Being back in briefs for the second time after a 6-month break from squatting in gear means I need to get a feel for where my strength is and find my weak points. To do this I don't need to take a max effort single but I do need to get close enough to one to see where I breakdown or to at a minimum be able to estimate a one rest max number. I decided to do this with the SS Yoke bar today.

SS Yoke bar box squat - box 1" above parallel - wore Metal Ace briefs

worked up to 750 for 2 singles

dimel deadlifts

315 for 4 sets of 3 reps

back attack machine

3 plates for 3 sets of 20 reps

Squats felt good and I was happy with how they went. My back was solid with no rounding or form break down but I was shifting the weight to my quads at it got heavier. I took the 750 twice to try to correct this on my second single. It was better but not as good as I need it to be.
