I've been carrying the yoke far awhile now for the strength benefits related to stabilization and it's had a nice carryover to the stabilization of my squat. I typically use an empty yoke (310 pounds) but sometimes add a plate or two per side. Today JP was out to train in the morning and asked what I was planning on doing. I told him my plan and he said he'd jump in on the yoke carry with me....we took our yoke carries to the next level.

I started the session with step ups:

parallel box

bodyweight for 10 steps per leg

holding 25's for 10 steps per leg

holding 50's for 10 steps per leg

holding 70's for 10 steps per leg

time for the yoke....

JP and I did 60-foot walks. We worked up for an empty yoke doing one trip each. My final set was 630
