I had an awesome opportunity to get on board a research project at school where I will be an assistant, the only downfall is that I had to pull out of the Hybrid Meet because of it. So I am now in a full-on offseason mode with the goal to put on as much size as possible. My current weight is around 230lbs

in pretty decent shape so I am decided to go into a surplus and just try and get as big and as strong as possible without any regards to a weight class. In that being the goal I have decided to follow a very low volume high-intensity approach to training with an 8-day training split to optimize recovery in between sessions. I'll be going into more detail about the reasons behind this because I know a lot of the research says we need more volume but I beg to differ and so do a lot of really huge and strong bodybuilders. My current split will be: Push Legs Off Pull Push Off Pull/Legs Off Repeat I think with this layout and a slow increase in calories I will be able to hit my goals in both strength and body mass.
