If you benefit from squatting high, pulling with straps, bouncing your bench, or anything else, then you do you and fuck what anyone else thinks. Honestly, if you enjoy your training, it doesn’t even matter whether you use the most effective program or technique anyway. At the end of the day, no one really cares all that much about the weights you can lift. So if you’re not doing what makes you happy, why do it at all? PS. A little secret: the truth is, training the way you enjoy is usually the most effective, anyway. Trust yourself and trust your body.
