Training

So something has progressed over the last year or so where the Swiss bar puts a massive strain on my front delts. I have attempted this bar countless times to try and remedy the issue but nothing seems to correct the issue. Today we started to use it again as I really wanted to try it out and it was a no go after 95lbs. Following the success of week seven-floor press, I made an audible to use the American Cambered Bar again which ended well for me. I also have not done well going to a drastic deficit on the bench lately so we went with one board to the cambered to keep it closer to a "no deficit position". The choice to use double bands, however, was miserable and caught up to everyone involved very quickly, I knew three reps were going to really make us work for that last press. This aspect of training is something that I do not normally get to train, that's right, I have a tendency to miss the "strain" needed on ME days often. I am an explosive lifter so I do not force myself to push through a grind for very long, well today, I learned. I took a page out of my wife's training last week and gave 1/2 the grind time she did, I went 5 seconds which is an eternity for me and it paid off.
