I took another plunge. I have had my bass guitar for a while now and I love the thing. I love coming home and jamming for a few minutes or 30 to clear my head after a days work. Its made been very challenging and humble to start something new and have no clue what Im doing. I learning though and enjoying the challenge

I can very amateurishly play the bass lines for :

holy diver / dio

raindrop in the dark / dio

for whom the bell toll / metallica

N.I.B / Black sabbath

Enter sandman / metallica

Iron man / Black sabbath

Animal I've become / 3 days grace

Don't stop believing / Journey

Come to the sabbath / Mercyful fate

and when i say amateurishly i mean i know what im playing but you may not LOL.

I'm loving it. My dad is an old time guitar head. He was in a band for years and his love of music definitely rubbed off on me. He got back on the horse a while back. He loves telecasters and big amps. A while back he picked up a 200 watt amp. The thing is nuts for a 62 year old that plays CCR and james gang tunes in his basement alone. After playing on his tele(that's right!, I have been on the guitar forums and that's what they call them) I knew I needed another guitar. The bass is fun but why not have both. My Mom and Dad have 8 grand kids and my mom painstakingly shops for them. She likes to have every thing equal to the last dollar and amount of presents. I think she weighs them out too but that hasn't been proven yet LOL. So for the big kids(myself, my 3 siblings, and all the spouses) they give money. This is great for me as I can buy things I would buy normally. So wiht my mom and dad's christmans money I bought a sweet guitar and amp. It will be here January 5th and man am I excited. I went to the guitar shop and sampled several guitars and amps. I settled for a DEAN guitar and fender amp full of voices and effects. I'm a big DIMEBAG Darrell fan and the dean seamed like the best mix of price and play for me. I cant wait to jump in and try something else new.
