I had planned on diving right into a new hypertrophy block after my last contest, but I'm still feeling beat up from my contest 2 weeks ago, so I've been basically just putzing around with training since then.

Saturday, I did some overhead work with Team BOSS. No real plan when I went in because I mostly got out of bed to coach a new strongman that asked for my help, so we just set up a small "medley" with a log off the blocks and then one axle clean and 3 split jerks.

Sunday, I went down to the S5 compound to work on some deadlifting. The goal is to switch entirely to hook grip. Hopefully my weightlifting background will help expedite that process.

The goal moving forward is to build up volume in my swims, blast at least 10 weeks worth of hypertrophy training, and then start to back off a little on conditioning to maintain and get into a strength phase around 20-18 weeks out from United States Strongman nationals in June.
