Training under Goggins for the last year has been a privilege and a learning experience. But this time around I want to approach training differently. The protocol I have been following for years has been:

12-14 week prep

After meet, 2 weeks off from training

1 month of bodybuilding (leaning on Julia for some guidance)

This time around:

I competed Saturday (June 30th) and took Sunday off. I was back in the gym by Monday and followed a bodybuilding regimen for the week.

This week threw on briefs for the second time. Still undecided whether to do a geared or raw meet but I've been itching to train in gear to see if there will be any carryover or benefit to it - helping with technique and overload training never hurt anybody.

I feel great but don't know exactly what I'm doing. This is something totally different and I'm stepping into territory I have no knowledge of. This is where growth happens.

Note to self:

Going back to the basics

Implement what I learned from Goggins that worked for me

Training with the guys to keep my accountable
