today is a reload week for squat and Dave and I decided to put in a heavy pick and hold for my squat. This will involve a heavy bar weight with a decent amount of band tension. The pick and hold for time really forces a good pick and keeping tight while under the tension of bands.

box squats up to 700 for a single - wore Metal Ace briefs

added strong band to each side pick and hold for a 5 count - was a mess bar drifted forward into hooks

bar weight moved to 800 pick and hold for 5 count - was a mess bar drifted forward into hooks and bounced back

added and additional strong band per side

pick and hold for 5 count - a little better but not great - unstable

moved bar weight to 940

pick and hold for 5 count - this was very difficult but also the best pick - we determined a good ratio of band tension to bard weight is between 30-40 percent.

the picks exhausted me and I called it a day.
