Back in the day I had a pretty good pull, 710 with just a belt. Now, not so much but I still love it. The Deadlift for me is the most mental and the most satisfying lift of the three contested lifts. It’s you, the bar and no stretch reflex. It takes speed, strength, ball and an assload of mental focus and toughness. It’s easy to bail on a heavy pull, it takes balls to finish one.
